Integrated Pest
Management

IPM is a systematic, evidence-based approach that uses the least invasive, most effective methods available — combining monitoring, cultural practices, biological controls, and targeted treatments only when necessary. We identify the root cause before we ever recommend a treatment.

1

Identification & Monitoring

Accurate diagnosis of the pest, pathogen, or condition. We don't treat until we know exactly what we're dealing with.

2

Threshold Assessment

Not every pest requires intervention. We assess whether the level of infestation warrants treatment, or whether natural controls will suffice.

3

Targeted Treatment

When treatment is necessary, we select the safest, most effective method — starting with cultural and biological options before chemical controls.

4

Prevention & Follow-Up

Addressing the underlying conditions that allowed the problem to develop — so it doesn't come back next season.

Know what to look for —
and act early

Fruit trees are some of the most rewarding plants in a Kamloops yard — and some of the most vulnerable to a predictable set of problems. The good news is that most issues are easy to spot, and early action makes all the difference.

Warning Signs

What to watch for

Leaf spots, bark discolouration, and dead branches are the most common fruit tree issues — and should be treated as soon as they're found. Also watch for leaf roller caterpillars and curled leaves, which indicate insect activity that can compound quickly if left unchecked.

Safe Treatment

Family & pet safe

Horticultural and dormant oil applications are considered safe once dried — which means just a few hours after treatment, your yard is safe for your family and pets, and your trees are free of overwintering pests.

If you notice spots on your leaves, discolouration, rolled leaves, or aphids — your trees are in need of treatment. The sooner we get to them, the simpler and less invasive the solution.

Common issues across
all property types

From ornamental trees to lawn areas and garden beds — we manage the full spectrum of plant health problems found in the BC Interior.

Insect Pests

Identification and management of damaging insects — including leaf roller caterpillars, aphids, and other common fruit tree pests. Targeted treatment plans that protect your plants while minimising impact on beneficial species.

Fungal Disease

Diagnosis and treatment of fungal and bacterial pathogens causing leaf spots, cankers, blights, root rots, and dieback across ornamental and edible plantings.

Weed Management

Strategic control of invasive and nuisance weeds competing with desirable plants. Selective methods that protect your landscape while eliminating the problem.

Soil & Root Health

Addressing compaction, pH imbalance, nutrient deficiencies, and drainage issues that create conditions for persistent pest and disease problems.

Principle 01

Diagnose First

We never recommend treatment without a confirmed identification. Misdiagnosis wastes money and can make problems worse.

Principle 02

Least Harmful Method

Chemical controls are a last resort. Cultural, mechanical, and biological methods are always explored first.

Principle 03

Prevention Over Cure

The goal is always to create conditions where pest problems are less likely to occur — not just to manage them when they do.

Residential

Your home
landscape

We work with homeowners to protect and restore the plants they've invested in — trees, shrubs, gardens, and lawns. A healthy landscape starts with understanding what's actually wrong.

  • Single tree or full property assessment
  • Ornamental tree and shrub disease management
  • Garden bed weed and pest control
  • Lawn health and grub management
  • One-off treatments and seasonal programs

Commercial

Your property's
reputation

First impressions matter. We help strata councils, commercial property managers, and municipal clients maintain healthy, professional landscapes through scheduled, science-based programs.

  • Strata and multi-unit residential programs
  • Commercial planting maintenance contracts
  • Large-scale weed and invasive species control
  • Tree health assessments and reporting
  • Scheduled monitoring and treatment programs
